COME AND SING 2024

Saturday, 27th April is the date for our one-day “Come and Sing” Musical Workshop and Concert.
This year we have an exciting change of programme and a new venue.
So, save the date and "Come and Sing" Songs from the Shows and Music from the Movies at Thornford Village Hall.
No auditions required, just enthusiasm!
Musical Director - Alice Dicker BMus(hons) DipABRSM
Alice studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and after graduating enjoyed many years performing as a clarinettist and bassoonist. In recent years she has re-focused her energies on singing, teaching and conducting, and is the Musical Director for both the South Petherton Combined Arts Society Choir and the Mid Wessex Singers. Alice is the Vocal Coach at Strode College and Huish Episcopi Academy, has a handful of private students, and also works as a freelance singer and conductor. She is sure to make the day fun, enjoyable and fulfilling for everyone.
Accompanist - Kris Emmett BA(Hons)
Kris studied at Plymouth University receiving an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. He is currently studying for the ARCO and LRSM (Music Direction) as well as a Master’s in Music and the Environment at University of Highlands and Islands in Scotland.

"Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin" from Oklahoma
"My Heart Will Go On" love theme from Titanic
The Lord is My Shepherd - from the Vicar of Dibley
Some Gilbert and Sullivan choruses
I'd Like to Teach the Word to Sing
The cost for the day is £20 per person.
Audience tickets £10 each for the evening performance (to include Prize Draw entry)
